Wicked Kitchen

this weekend, D and i, along with my little brother went to Wicked Kitchen and tried their food. i saw it being featured in a website last week and it just made me curious. the place is not that big, and is not for big groups of people.

Broccoli and Cheese Chowder. a rich blend of fresh broccoli and cheddar. served with crunchy parmesan croutons. im a big fan of cream soups. : ) this soup is indeed very cheesy and creamy. but comforting nonetheless.

Firestarters. crunchy rolls of green chili, grilled chicken, and melted cheese. fried to a crisp, served with tomato salsa. we loved this! : ) expect moderate hotness because of the green chilies. one serving has a good five rolls.

Mongolian Rice. chicken, squid, and fresh vegetables tossed in special mongolian sauce. D ordered this. i tried it too, and i think the sauce made it tastier. : )

Sisig Rice. spicy sisig topped over rice and served with egg. oh, this dish has nothing special. just plain and ordinary.

Fish and Chips. beer-battered sole fillets served with aioli, and thick-cut fries. this may look like two large deep-fried quail eggs, but it's not. the batter is good and the fish is fresh. : )

Wicked Kitchen's desserts are named after the seven deadly sins. there's Lust, Envy, Pride, Sloth, Wrath, Greed, and Gluttony.

Gluttony. definitely a certified Wicked Kitchen bestseller. freshly baked giant chocolate chip cookie - crusty outside but moist and chewy inside. served with a huge scoop of mantecado ice cream. they gave us two mini gluttony for free because we ordered the dish for the day. but if you order one, it is literally a GIANT cookie - that is good for four people. : ) the ice cream melts quickly because the cookie is freshly baked. : ) that's why you should wait for fifteen minutes for baking time.

next time i'll go back and try their other desserts and pastas. that giant cookie alone makes the trip to that far away land of Mother Ignacia worth it. ; )

Wicked Kitchen is located at 143 Mother Ignacia Avenue, South Triangle, Quezon City. you may call them at 927-1992 for deliveries. : )
